Two Sundays ago, I had to choose between a K and Company dress and a craft punch set.
I chose the craft punch set.
My husband asked me why I wanted it. I didn't have an answer. I just do. I dream about it at night.
See how it perfectly cuts little alphabets.
Aren't they lovely? Would you have chosen the dress?

"C" Sees: Oops! She Did It Again
Tuesday, September 9, 2008
The lady has a gift. She can discover the "funniest" things in the most innocent places. (See her previous finds here.)
This time, we were in a make-shift toy store in the middle of a mall.
While I was checking out this toy...
(The doll is cute but a bit creepy. Reminds me of Chucky.)
she found this...
THE "DUMP" TRUCK
Click here for a better view.
R-U-M-B-L-E! R-U-M-B-L-E! R-U-M-B-L-E!
Is that the sound of a tummy rumbling?
The "dump" truck to the rescue!
"C" Sees: Her True Value Finds
Tuesday, August 19, 2008
Two weeks ago, I dragged "C" to True Value in Power Plant, Rockwell. I, while shopping for lights, was blissfully unaware that "C" was dying of boredom in the CFL section. When I asked her if it's okay for us to go around and browse the tools section, she gave me an emphatic NO.
Yesterday was different. As I aimlessly browsed the True Value aisles, "C" entertained herself with some of the "interesting" items near the counter. Inspecting her finds, we were giggling like school girls as we read the labels. *hihihi*
NO. 1: UDDER CREAM
This was "C"'s first find. I saw her laughing her ass off while holding this jar with a cow label. I first thought it was underarm cream. Upon closer inspection, I realized that it was an UDDER CREAM! The intense giggling then started. "Cream for you significant UDDER!" "Not only for the lips but also for the nips." "Oh! AAP (our breastfeeding friend) will love this!"
Seriously, check out the website of UDDERLY SMOOTH. I think it's a great product once you get past the UDDER.
NO. 2: "PERSONAL" MassagerWe just couldn't resist taking a picture of this contraption. It claims to be a personal massager. With that shape, I'm sure it will really be a "personal" experience. Grab it now! It's 20% off.
Check it out in the Walgreen website -- HEALTH O METER Personal Massager. Read the reviews of the customers. See the udder other uses for the massager.

Recipe: Corned Beef Sinigang
Thursday, August 7, 2008

Do you love Sentro 1771's Corned Beef Sinigang?
The secret is in the meat.
Please don't use canned corned beef!
You can actually buy corned beef slabs in the supermarket (Tenderbites, Unimart/Cash and Carry). Ask them to cut the slab into cubes.
Cook it the way you cook your sinigang.
Voila! Sinigang ala Sentro 1771.
Tried it? How was it?

Gourdo's called this morning to inform me that the Splenda I reserved was ready for pick-up. Hooray! It's a steal at only P265 for 100 packets. (A box of 100 normally costs P345) That amounts to a savings of P80 per bag!
For that, I was willing to drive all the way to Greenhills to pick up the 2 bags I reserved.
Hmmm....but did I really save?
Savings:
Expenses:
A loss of 5 pesos. Sigh... plus I now have a cake that will cancel out all the calories I saved from the Splenda.
Shopping at the Ikea Showroom
Monday, July 28, 2008
I went with my friends "MM" and "B" to the Ikea Showroom in Makati last Saturday. I was "just supposed to look" but I couldn't resist buying plastic containers and another lamp.
I am Mrs. G and I am a plastic container addict.
The containers in the drawer with the sandwich bags, I use regularly. The pictures on top are the ones I don't use. I have more but I don't want to take them out of my hiding place. Like an alcoholic who hides liquor around the house, I have plastic containers stashed in different cabinets.
I also like lamps. They light up my life! That is, if I get them to work or take them out of their container. I now only use 1 of the 4 lamps I bought from Ikea.
I need help.
